Iowa's deer harvest has declined for the seventh straight year.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG says hunters reported more than 115,000 deer to the harvest reporting system for the 2012 season. That's a decline of nearly five percent.

The state Department of Natural Resources says hunters have adjusted to the smaller herd and fewer antlerless tags. They purchased more than 378,000 licenses last year.

The station reports Iowa's deer harvest is down 23 percent from a high in 2006.
