A 10-year-old Iowa boy won second place and $10,000 in this weekend's National Bible Bee.
Taylor Bontrager of Kalona perfectly recited numerous Bible verses through nine rounds of competition in Sevierville, Tennessee. He was one of three contestants who recited scripture perfectly. A written test taken earlier determined the winners.
Two other Iowans, Taylor's 15-year-old brother Joshua and 13-year-old Andrew Adams of Clive also competed but were eliminated in earlier rounds.
