A man wanted for murder in St. Clair County, Illinois was arrested Thursday afternoon in Lincoln.
The Metro Fugitive Task Force-Lincoln took 24-year-old John Harris into custody around 3:45 p.m. Harris was wanted for first-degree murder in connection with a gang-related drive-by shooting earlier this year.
U.S. marshals in East St. Louis, Illinois contacted Lincoln authorities Wednesday night about the possibility of Harris being in Nebraska.
Harris is in the Lancaster County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois.
