An Omaha woman who wed a man who was already married to another woman is on probation for a federal charge of harboring an illegal immigrant.
In August, 2009, 32-year-old Crystal Foster married Ibrahim Matari at the Douglas County Courthouse.
The marriage was invalid as Matari had another wife in Illinois.
Foster petitioned Immigration to adjust Matari's status in the U.S. as the spouse of a U.S. citizen.
The two were interviewed by government officials and told different stories. Matari was convicted of marriage fraud.
Foster plead guilty to harboring an alien and is on probation for 30 months.
Matari was previously sentenced to time served and was removed from the United States.
