Now that Interstate 29 has reopened in southwest Iowa, drivers may be wondering how long they will have to deal with the restrictions just north of Hamburg. The Iowa Department of Transportation answered the question Monday. Weather permitting, restrictions will go away November 14.

Road construction between the Missouri State line and the Nebraska City exit (Highway 2 at mile marker 10) has forced motorists in each direction to share one side of the road.

I-DOT reminds drivers that they should obey posted speed limits and other signs in the work area. Fines for traffic violations are at least double in work zones.
