Human Rights Conference to be Held at UNL

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting an international human rights conference.

The free forum on Nov. 1-2 will bring scholars from around the country to address human rights and human security. Scholars will discuss the consequences of separating human rights and security.

Human rights experts Rhoda Howard-Hassmann and Wilfrid Laurier will present the keynote address, "The Politics of Food in North Korea." The speech will take place Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Nebraska Union auditorium.

The event is co-sponsored by the university's Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs program, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
