A man is under arrest for allegedly breaking in to an Omaha home on New Year's Eve. The homeowner scared him off by firing a gun in the air.
The attempted burglary happened just after 11 p.m. Monday. Police say 49-year-old Michael Robinson forced his way into the house near South 56th and Spring streets.
Two people who were inside heard the break-in and one of them fired a gun as a warning to scare off the intruder. Robinson ran off but was soon captured by police with the help of a K9.
He faces charges of burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
