The 63-year-old homeless man critically hurt in a Lincoln car accident has been identified, and the driver is awaiting his initial court appearance.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports police say Marvin Archer was hurt Friday night as he crossed O Street a few blocks west of downtown.

Archer remained in critical condition on Sunday at a Lincoln hospital.

The driver of the car that hit Archer, 25-year-old Grant Siggins, was arrested. Police say Siggins is suspected of driving under the influence and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
