The Nebraska Department of Roads is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the truck driver responsible for damaging the I-680 overpass over Highway 75 (48th Street) in Omaha on Monday.
The hit-and-run accident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. Damage to the overpass, due to a truck that exceeded the height requirement, will require replacement of a bridge girder and part of the bridge deck. Money for the project will come out of taxpayer pockets.
