A Heartland father, once hailed as a hero, now fears a neighbor's lies may ruin his relationship with his children.

Marlon Station ran into his burning home in order to save his kids; now he has to defend himself against allegations of child abuse.

Station is not backing down.

Marlon Station agreed to talk to Channel 6 News because he is fed up with a neighbor calling police to report him for abusing or neglecting his children.

Marlon Station says, "She has called the cops on me three times since, I've only lived here about a year, and she has called them three times on me since."

The neighbor's allegation is ironic considering station's past. In January of 2010 his home caught fire, Marlon rushed upstairs in an effort to save his trapped children.

Marlon saved one; the firefighters managed to save the other child.

Now divorced Station lives at the Benson Tower and watches his 3 children when his schedule allows.

There aren't many toys but there are movies lots of movies, all of them viewed dozens of times.

But Marlon fears the accusations of abuse won't stop and he can see a set of circumstances when one of the lies may look true.

Marlon Station says, "Boys will be boys, they rough-house and stuff like that and they can bump their head on a table or something and then she calls and says I'm beating them."

So far three calls of alleged abuse have resulted in officers checking on the boys and reporting that there were no signs of abuse or neglect.

Marlon says there never will be but he is tired of defending himself from false accusations and feels like there is nothing he can do.

Station is not alone; he tells Channel 6 News one neighbor has had the police sent to his door nearly 30 times.

Omaha Police say they check out every report of abused or neglected children. The woman calling in these reports was committed to a mental institution back in 2003.
