At the Westwood Heights Sprayground, families gathered earlier in the day to get out and play before the day really heated up.
"We're crazy. It's miserable out here," said Wendy Rhode, mother of two children playing at the sprayground. "It's just constant sweat."
A heat advisory has been issued from noon today until Monday night for the metro and areas south of it.
Experts recommend limiting outdoor activity to the morning or evening hours. Resting in the shade, wearing sunscreen and staying as hydrated as possible are advised as well.
