Harrah’s Casino in Council Bluffs has received approval to shut down its gambling boat and move the casino to land.

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission changed the license for Harrah’s on Thursday according to the Des Moines Register.

The $8-million dollar project is expected to be complete by next summer.

The casino floor will now be one level instead of three and built where the hotel’s main floor convention center is now.
