A Fort Dodge barber has been found guilty of selling drugs from his shop, which prosecutors say was a front for the drug deals.

Benjamin Clement was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.

The charges are punishable by up to 10 years and 5 years in prison respectively.

The Messenger says Clement is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 18.

Prosecutors say authorities seized a package containing marijuana mailed to Clement's barbershop from a phony address in Fresno, Calif. They also say they observed people coming and going from the shop during hours not posted on the door and for short periods of time.

Clement's attorney, Joe McCarville, says he and Clement are disappointed in Wednesday's verdict.
