Bob Kerrey plans to make what his campaign calls "a major announcement" Thursday afternoon. A campaign spokesman tells Channel 6 News former Sen. Chuck Hagel will endorse Kerrey.
The campaign has scheduled two press conferences to announce the development: one in Lincoln, one in Omaha.
Kerrey is running against Republican Senate nominee Deb Fischer.
