Lincoln police rushed to the scene of a fight involving several people. However, the fight ended while officers were on their way when someone involved in the brawl pulled out a gun and opened fire.
Thankfully, no one was hit. The suspected gunman, 20-year old Buay Keak, left the scene and was arrested nearby. Police say his weapon, a .380 handgun, was defaced. It was stolen from a vehicle in July 2009.
Keak was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a defaced firearm.
The incident was reported at 12:37am Thursday at 17th & Prospect.
Two other people were arrested at the scene. Atem Garang was arrested for failure to comply. Kon Kot was arrested for MIP.
