An Iowa man has pleaded guilty to production of child pornography. He admitted using a hidden camera to video a young boy in a restroom.
Kent Oman of Des Moines was ordered to remain in the
custody of the United States Marshals Service pending his sentencing hearing.
As part of the plea proceeding, Oman admitted that between January 31, 2009 and November 7, 2010, he knowingly and intentionally used a hidden camera to produce videos of a minor male using the bathroom on 15 to 20 separate occasions. He further admitted that at least
one of the videos he produced of this minor male using the bathroom captured images where the focal point of the video was on the genitalia of the minor male.
If the court accepts the terms of the plea agreement, Oman will be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of fifteen years.
