One of the biggest parties in the metro was in full swing Saturday night in Sokol Auditorium.
The Groundhog Prom is part sub-culture, part underground hip and totally fun.
It is now an institution.
The Groundhog Prom is celebrating its 35th year of existence.
Saturday afternoon Channel 6 News dropped in to catch the last few decorations going up and to check out the shrine to groundhog proms past.
We also asked about the true meaning of Groundhog Prom.
Fletch says, "It's an opportunity for us to look back over the last year and be able to say what has happened, let's make a mockery of that, let's respect that, let's dish on that."
The party runs until 1AM Sunday; two bands are playing on two separate stages and wild costumes encouraged.
If you can't make it there is always next Groundhog Day.
