Senator Chuck Grassley today joined Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and four other senators, Republicans and Democrats, to build support for the Military Justice Improvement Act.
During a morning news conference on Capitol Hill, Grassley said, “The status quo isn’t working and we need to shake things up. If we don’t crack down on a corrosive culture, or on individuals who use sexual violence as a means of power, then we’ll create lingering institutional problems that will jeopardize morale and impact recruitment and retention of troops.”
Grassley is an original cosponsor of the bill introduced by Gillibrand, S.967.
