A mid-afternoon grass fire on Highway 75 near Bellevue shut down the roadway for a while.
That was so fire trucks could get to the fire on a hillside right next to the highway for a short time before being reopened.
Firefighters quickly doused the flames then turned their attention to the other side of the hill.
That's where several homes are located.
The grass and brush was doused to prevent the fire from rekindling.
