Students spent the day celebrating Grandparents Week.

It's an annual event for the district. Grandparents come to school and eat lunch with their "Grand-students."

Carol Scott traveled forty miles from Randolph, Iowa to have lunch with her granddaughter.

"I think it is a really good opportunity for grandparents to get into the school system and see what kids are eating and what they're doing and I always enjoy them." said Scott.

Today the Kindergarten class had their grandparents in for lunch. The celebration will continue with the upper class grades throughout the week.
