Lancaster County will soon get two new district judges to help with the caseload in and around the capital city of Lincoln.

Gov. Dave Heineman announced the appointments Tuesday to fill a

Heineman chose Stephanie Stacy and Andrew Jacobsen to fill the
openings in the state's 3rd Judicial District.

The 49-year-old Stacy is a partner at Baylor, Evnen, Curtiss,

practicing since 1991.

The 48-year-old Jacobsen is currently a deputy Lancaster County
Attorney. He has prosecuted felony crimes for Lancaster County and
specialized in homicide and child abuse cases. Jacobsen has been a
lawyer since 1989.
