School may still be out for the summer, but Omaha Public Schools was in session Friday for its annual auction and sale.

Dozens showed up to hear the auctioneer calling out bids. The school district sold off all kinds of surplus educational, physical fitness and lawn care gear.

"All that money goes back into the general fund,” said Traci Shobe of OPS. “It might go back into food and nutritional services. That money goes back there where officials then put the money back into our budget.”

The district was also able to auction off several vehicles.
