Some families in the metro are looking for a good hiding place to stash their Christmas goodies.
They arrived at the Heartland Family Service Friends Guild Adopt a Family program Wednesday morning.
The program makes sure needy families have presents and food for Christmas.
Spokesperson Tammy Green said, "A lot of our families get to have a huge amount of toys underneath the Christmas tree and they don't have to have it come out of their pockets. They don't have to choose between medicine, food or paying rent.”
A total of 112 families have been helped so far this year through the Adopt a Family Program. It's not too late to help if you would like to adopt a family for Christmas. Call the Heartland Family Service Friends Guild at 402-553-3000.
