It's been difficult for Misty Warner since Tina Hoult's passing.

"It's been real hard with the kids struggling, to let them know, hey she is not here," said Misty Warner.

Hoult was murdered in May and since then Warner's been doing everything she can to help. Recently she's planning a memorial benefit for Hoult's family.

"Ya know we can get this money raised for her mom to be able to travel back and forth from California. To get a urn for her ashes, to help with some of the expenses," said Warner.

A lot of support came in, with one woman even volunteering to help collect items for an auction.

"And she started texting me, telling me well I have $600 worth of chiropractor, $250 dollars worth of home improvement," said Warner.

But after getting these items and supposedly collecting checks too the woman stopped responding last weekend.

So we tried to call today. After one ring, "You have reached the voice mailbox of 334," said the automated voice mail.

Warner has only received one vague message saying she's at a bad point in her life.

To say the least, "It hurts," said Warner in tears. She just hopes the fundraiser will still be a success, even though it will have a few less items.
