Police are urging Fremont businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit money being passed in the community.
The department has investigated several reports in recent weeks — including one on Monday — that fake bills of various denominations have been used.
Police urge businesses to pay attention to the cut, texture and color of bills since there are no single identifying marks on the phony money.
Anyone who believes they have come in contact with counterfeit money can call the police department at 402-727-2677.
