Anthony Adams sat on the curb in the Carol Hotel parking lot while the Metro Area Task Force members and the SWAT team broke down their field operations center.

Watching the whole thing from a second floor balcony was the Quinn Insurance team.

Shannon Abrahams says, "It started with one cop pulling in with a K-9 unit and then after that some more pulled up on this parking lot. SWAT looked like they were coming in K-9 units, an ambulance."

Adams was soon trapped in a laundry chute when police began preparing for a long day. The dogs were called in as well as the Emergency Response Unit Negotiators.

Officers also brought out the pepper spray and gas masks.

Shannon Abrahams says, "Lot of gas masks."

Officers say in the end it was the pepper spray along with the negotiators and dogs that coaxed Adams out of his hiding place. After a two hour standoff the end came quickly.

Shannon Abrahams says, "We heard the dogs barking and that was about it, saw a lot of people running around a lot of what looked like detectives in and out."

Police and paramedics helped Adams clean the pepper spray from his eyes as they shackled his legs together.

The fugitive was in custody and the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force chalked up another victory.

Along with Adams police also arrested Jennifer Hall, 33 for aiding and abetting a felony.

Adams faces a robbery charge in Omaha. Police say he held up the Dollar Store at 35th and Leavenworth back in January. Adams also faces an obstruction charge in Pottawattamie County.
