The Fremont Family YMCA is planning to begin work this fall on a lodge that will serve as headquarters for numerous new features at a 120-acre camp.
The Fremont Tribune reports the organization plans to build an estimated $1.3 million lodge on the southeast bank of Marv's Lake.
Jerry Rinne, chief executive officer of the local YMCA, says the nearly 6,000-square-foot building would be the first of many planned amenities at the Christensen Family YMCA Camp.
The organization has owned the camp and the 50-acre lake since 2007.
Later additions include zip lines, a rope course and an amphitheater.
Organizers of the effort plan to complete fundraising for the lodge and add other features as funding become available.
