Leadership of a troubled UNL fraternity sends alums a statement.
"The House Corporation Board is also focused on cooperating with authorities to determine the sequence of events that culminated in the "trashing" of the house and the triggering of the fire alarm. (Please recognize, the House was maintained pretty well over the holiday break, and was reportedly still in adequate shape as recently as Sunday morning, hours before these events unfolded.) To be clear, the House Corporation Board does not know who trashed the House, who or what triggered the fire alarm, or why they did so, but hopes to have that information in the very near future."
"The leadership at Sigma Nu's National Office has temporarily suspended all activities of the Delta Eta Charter while it awaits the results of the ongoing investigations mentioned above. Members of the House Corporation Board spoke with representatives from National Office today and understand why they temporarily suspended Delta Eta activities. The House Corporation Board also knows that it has the long-term support of the National Office, just as you would expect. Below is a statement from the National Office for your information."
"These are shocking and exceptionally frustrating events."
