Fire crews are still trying to determine the cause of a fire that broke out late Sunday night at the former Mister C's Steakhouse site near 30th & Fort.
Just before 11:00 PM, firefighters reported seeing heavy smoke and flames on approach. Investigators said the fire started on the outside of the building, but spread to an interior wall. The entire building was filled with smoke.
Firefighters had the blaze under control after about 40 minutes, but crews remained at the scene early Monday morning. So far, there's no word on what sparked the fire. No one was injured.
The restaurant took on the Mister C's name in the 1970s and closed in 2007.
