A well known coach says a cloud that was hanging over his head has been lifted.
Wowt6 News has learned of a development in a wrongful termination lawsuit. Forced out of his uniform three years ago Mike Evans has settled with Bellevue University. Evans says, "I can say my name is cleared and I can just go on from here."
Evans' lawyer says terms of the settlement can't be revealed.
Attorney Brian Jorde says, "His name has been cleared from any wrongdoing and that was the key aspect to the whole case."
About three years ago, the Bruins had to forfeit most of their games due a transcript problem with a transfer. The settlement means that is no longer considered the coach's fault.
Bellevue University declined comment on the settlement.
