Wondering what’s happening to the fish as the city drains water from Leahy Mall?
Omaha’s Parks Department says with high heat in the middle of last summer’s drought, many of them died.
As for the survivors, they’re being drained out to the river with the pond’s water.
The city says it’s not taking responsibility for the fish because it didn’t stock the pond to begin with.
Visitor’s have brought in the fish over the years.
