The Papillion Fire Department is looking to hire.
The department's Bill Bowes says they are looking to hire two full-time paid firefighters.
"It's a great career. I happened to stumble into it years ago and I can't imagine doing anything that I would love more. It's a chance to help people. It's a chance to work in very unique situations, not always ideal situations on cold days or extremely hot days, who wants to run into a burning building type of thing, but it's a great opportunity. There's no such thing as routine and then the camaraderie that's developed working with the same group of people, working on 24 hour shifts, is just tremendous."
