Investigators are searching through the rubble of a North Omaha house, trying to find out what caused an early-morning fire.
An Omaha police officer on patrol near 28th and Manderson St. called in the fire just before 1:00 Monday morning.
When crews arrived, they found smoke pouring from the windows and fire consuming the back of the house.
Fire fighters had it under control in just 20 minutes. The home is vacant, and noone was injured while putting out the fire.
