Fire Forces Family From Home

A family of five escapes an early morning fire.

Just after midnight Thursday morning firefighters arrived at the home near 65th & Blondo.

The fire was quickly knocked down but this was the second time in 24 hours crews responded to the home.

On Wednesday a small fire had gotten out of the fireplace and they believe that is what caused the second fire as well.

The Red Cross was called in to help the family find a place to stay for the night.
