A young woman was hit by gunfire Tuesday night as she sat in a car at a city park. Investigators are wondering if she was targeted -- or if someone was shooting into the crowd.

It happened around 8 p.m. at Adams Park near 34th Avenue and Maple.

Crime lab technicians were examining dark colored glass in the parking lot.

Investigators believe the bullet went through the car window, into the passenger seat and entered the back of the 19-year-old. The injuries are not life threatening.

Her friend drove her to Alegent Creighton hospital.

Omaha police say this park had been packed, but when they arrived -- it had cleared out.

Officers are looking for the shooter.
