The FBI believes a man made a call to Pottawattamie County 911 Thursday morning to divert police from a credit union that was about to be robbed.
We have attached the entire 911 call to this story. The hope is that someone will recognize the man who made the call.
About 9am, a masked man walked into the Telco Triad Credit Union at 25th & West Broadway. He threatened that he had a gun and demanded cash. He fled then fled the scene. He is described as a black male, 5’9” to 5’11”, athletic build, 180 to 200 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light jeans, and white tennis shoes.
Just before the robbery, someone placed a call to 911 claiming there had been an accident at 1027 5th Avenue. The uncooperative caller refused to provide his name or further details about what happened.
If you know who the robber is or the 911 caller, call the FBI at 402-493-8688.
