The former director of the Lincoln YWCA is scheduled to be sentenced in February on another theft conviction. Forty-two-year-old Denise Scholl-Serrett pleaded no contest Tuesday. The felony carries a maximum prison term of 20 years.

Scholl-Serrett resigned last February days before she was sentenced to probation for stealing from a former employer.

In the YWCA case, she was accused of embezzling more than $34,000. YWCA officials audited the nonprofit's books after learning she had stolen thousands of dollars from Omaha-based property management company DEI Communities, where she had been vice president of human resources.
