A July trial has been scheduled for a southeast Nebraska woman accused of stealing nearly $662,000 from a credit union.
Thirty-five-year-old Crystal Lankford, of Seward, pleaded not guilty earlier
this week to a federal embezzlement charge. Lankford's trial is
scheduled to begin on July 17.
Prosecutors say Lankford stole the money while working for the H.B.E. Credit Union between 2006 and 2011.
If convicted, Lankford faces up to 30 years in federal prison.
