Thirty-four-year-old Marcus Escamilla has been found guilty of murder after a week long jury trial.
On Friday, a jury found Escamilla guilty of 1st degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon in the killing of 30-year-old Kenneth Gunia at 24th and Mason on the night of April 16th.
Police say Escamilla is a known gang member.
Police also booked 35-year-old Janella Marks as an accessory to a felony and being a felon in possession of a gun.
Escamilla has other pending charges for a jail fight where he allegedly ripped the testicles of another inmate.
