The staff at the Douglas County Election office put the machines through a final test run Monday to make sure everything is working smoothly when it comes to counting ballots.
Election Commissioner Dave Phipps is expecting one-in-four Douglas County voters to cast a ballot in the primary - numbers that are actually higher than normal.
The weather was also a topic Monday.
Phipps said, “With storms last night we're always concerned that bad weather damaged a polling station or some sort of thing but we haven't seen anything so far. Otherwise things are going smoothly."
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
