Earth Day is Monday, but many gathered at Omaha’s Elmwood Park on Saturday to mark the observance.
About 100 vendors set up teaching about organic food, rain gardens and even what to do with an old tree stump. This marked the city’s 23rd celebration.
"All the exhibitors here are going to show people things they can do to make their lives more sustainable, more green, have less impact on the earth and that's always a good thing,” said organizer Dennis Bryers.
Music also filled the park and speakers talked about the meaning of Earth Day.
