The deadline for Nebraska and Iowa voters to vote an Early Voting Ballot in person at the election commissioner will be the day before Election Day.
In Douglas County, the Election Commissioner says the office will close at 5pm Monday, November 5 for in-person voting. The office is at 225 N. 115th Street, two blocks south and one block west of 114th & West Dodge Road.
Many other registered voters have opted for an early mail-in ballot. Those ballots can also be dropped off at the Douglas County Election Commissioner’s office or at one of four other locations.
Those are at the Charles B. Washington Branch Library at 2868 Ames Avenue, the South Omaha Branch Library at 2808 Q Street, the Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch Library at 2100 Reading Plaza, or at the Millard Public Schools Foundation at 5225 S. 159th Avenue.
In Nebraska, Ballots must be dropped off at those locations by 8pm Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 6.
In Iowa, the deadline for absentee ballots to be returned is Tuesday, November 13. However, the ballots must be postmarked on Monday, November 5 or earlier.
