The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
This weekend's Wanahoo Eagle Extravaganza at Lake Wanahoo in eastern Nebraska will feature a nesting pair of eagles.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says there will be binoculars and spotting telescopes available so visitors can see the eagles in their nest, which sits in a tree in the lake.
The event will take place on the breakwater near the bridge from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. There will be children's activities, including eagle masks and bird journals.
Lake Wanahoo State Recreation Area is situated just north of Wahoo in Saunders County. A park entry permit is required.
