Beautification projects in Dundee are causing some headaches.
Some are having trouble driving around.
Others don't know where to park.
However, we've found most are saying it's worth it.
A crew was seen laying down bricks for a redeveloped sidewalk in Dundee on Saturday.
It's part of a beautification project in the works, that along with new sidewalks, will bring landscaping, lighting, and streets to the neighborhood.
However, so much work happening all at once, gives drivers a bit of trouble.
"It's an inconvenience going west in Dundee, but it's really not that bad, because you can account, and just take Dodge," says Kit Crown, a Dundee patron.
On Underwood, one lane is closed, and can be confusing finding your way around.
While the projects have also taken away some parking spaces, those remaining can be a challenge to claim.
However, for someone like Dan Whelan, who parked a block over and walked, he says it's worth it.
"Once it's all done, I think everybody is going to be very happy, and certainly glad it's over, but it was something that needed to be done, so we might as well just get it done," he says.
The project is slated to finish this fall.
It'll still be a couple of months before things get back to normal.
In the meantime, most are putting up with the work, and are looking forward to the future.
"I think the overall finished project is going to be really nice, so it's not too big of a trouble," says Crown.
Planners say when the project is done, the area will have a 20% increase in spaces.
