Drunk Driver That Caused Accident Enters Plea

Guilty plea entered in DUI case that involved a highway collision. The Cassgram reports 28-year-old Sarah E. Dall of Plattsmouth will be sentenced May 14th.

Dall pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, 2nd offense; super (above .15 blood alcohol content) which is a Class I Misdemeanor.

The plea was part of an agreement in which a count of DUI—causing bodily injury, a Class IIIA Felony, was amended to the misdemeanor.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department report said that on June 12th of last year Dall was driving a northbound 2005 Chrysler Sebring that crossed the centerline and struck another vehicle nearly head-on north of Beaver Lake. The collision happened near the southbound fog line of Highway 75. Dall's vehicle came to a rest several hundred feet north of the accident scene in the west ditch. Two people in the southbound Pontiac Grand Am, a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Nebraska City, were transported by rescue squad to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Dall has been out on bond since the accident and the sentencing was set for May so she can complete an in-patient treatment program.
