When a Pottawattamie County sheriff’s deputy stopped a car for speeding Monday afternoon, little did he know what he was about to find. In his report, Deputy Brian Miller says he suspected the people in the car might be involved in criminal activity. They granted permission to search their vehicle along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80.
Deputy Miller reports finding 55 pounds of Hydroponic Marijuana inside vacuum sealed bags. The driver of the car, 26-year old Somphavanh Childs and her passenger, 23-year old Samson Phommabout were arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, tax stamp violation, and prohibited acts.
Both are from Utah.
