A driver is recovering after being wounded in a drive-by shooting in Omaha Sunday morning.
A witness told police a vehicle had pulled up alongside an SUV at 52nd Street and Ames Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. and someone inside opened fire, wounding 22-year-old Dejuan Tipler, whose SUV then crashed through a fence and hit a tree.
His passenger managed to get out of the vehicle and get a resident to call for help. The passenger was cut by flying glass.
Officers found several shell casings along 52nd Street between Ames and Fort.
