A driver was arrested twice in 24 hours for driving under the influence.

Sixty-one-year-old Clarence Smith was arrested by Bellevue police for DUI around 1 p.m. Thursday after being involved in a minor accident at Highway 75 and Capehart Road. No one was injured.

Smith was able to bond out and was again arrested for DUI, this time at 2nd and Spruce in Springfield, by a Sarpy County Sheriff’s Department deputy. Bond was set at 10 percent of $3,500. He paid the $350 and again was released.
