An Iowa City man faces weapons and drunken driving charges after he crashed his car through the front entrance of the Scheels sporting goods store at the Coral Ridge Mall off Interstate 80 in Coralville, Iowa Saturday morning.

Twenty-three-year-old Joseph Moreno was arrested shortly after 2:30 a.m. Officers who arrived at the scene heard what may have been a gunshot before they found him. They arrested Moreno and located a pistol they think belongs to him.

Police said Moreno suffered a cut, but no other injuries were reported. He was charged with burglary, operating while intoxicated, reckless use of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
