An Omaha man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning.
Police went to 29th and Ellison just before 3 a.m. and found evidence of a crime, but no victim. About 20 minutes later, 26-year-old Xavier Grimes arrived at Creighton University Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound. He told officers he was walking in the area of 27th and Fort when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire.
Grimes denied being shot near 29th and Ellison Avenue.
